Properties: Richest source of GLA (gamma linolenic acid). Contains 2-3

times more than evening primrose oil. (GLA is a precursor in the production of prostaglandins, normally manufactured by the body, but inefficient production leads to skin and other disorders). GLA is very important in maintaining healthy body tissue.

Contains: Small amounts of oleic acid (10-20%), linoleic acid (34-42 %).

Suitable for: Internal use and external application. Mature skins.

Beneficial for: Nourishing and moisturizing. Due to these nourishing properties, it is often used for dandruff and dry, scaly skin conditions, prematurely aged skin, eczema, and psoriasis. Uses also extend to heart disease, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and menopause.

Uses: Used in day and night creams, and hand and body lotions.
